Spreading the Sunshine

We are bringing a bit of sunshine your way with our Mimosa Collection!

Did you know that the Mimosa flower represents love and friendship? The perfect collection for gifting to loved ones! The Mimosa Hat Box is one of our favourites from the collection, it is sunshine in a box!

Grab your tools, your favourite flowers and follow along to our step by step below. 

You will need:

OASIS® Floral Foam Brick

Mimosa Hat Box

Floral Scissors

Flowers/foliage of your choice

Step 1

Firstly, cut your OASIS® Floral Foam Brick to fit in the hat box and soak in water. Once soaked, place in your Mimosa Hat Box. Are you new to the world of floral foam? Check our ‘A Beginners Guide to OASIS® Floral Foam’ blog here.

Step 2

Measure and cut your stems to size – if you want a big arrangement, keep stems longer or cut shorter for a more compact design.

Step 3

Now it’s time to get creative! Insert your stems into the OASIS® Floral Foam. We tend to start with foliage first as this acts as our base. Or we will start with a statement flower and work around this.

Go with the flow and see what works for you. There is no right or wrong way with this – find your own style.

Step 4

Now it’s time to step back and admire your hat box flower arrangement! Fill in any gaps or adjust where needed.

You can also add finishing touches at this step. We love to wrap ribbon or twine around the hat box or wire into the flower arrangement.
